MONROE, WA

Pacific Earth Works, Inc. was recently recognized with two 2016 Environmental Landscape Awards by the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals (WALP) at its annual state convention.

Recognized with a Grand Award in the Commercial Construction category, was the Bellevue City Hall East Garage Expansion (Project Manager Chris Dariotis, Foreman Juan Cruz). This project included more than 11,000 square feet of intensive green roof on the fifth floor. During construction, the main City Hall building remained open to add to the technicality of this installation.

Receiving the Award of Distinction was the Stone 34 project in the Commercial Construction category (Project Manager Mike Brandvold, Foreman Juan Cruz). This was a green roof installation and at-grade landscape including right-of-way work at a very congested site. With minimal work space and multiple trades working at once, this job took considerable amounts of coordination and team work.
